Beyla Hood joined UTSA Athletics in Fall 2024 as an Assistant Director for Development. In this role, she focuses on supporting pipeline development for the annual fund, coordinating travel and event logistics for donors, and overseeing the Letterwinners Club, which includes managing solicitations and member communications.
Beyla brings experience from two American professional sports teams: the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where she worked in guest services and event operations logistics.
Before her time in Atlanta, Beyla served as a Development Coordinator at The Ohio State University for three years. She was selected to represent the university’s Advancement Department at the 2023 Association of Advancement Services Professionals Summit, collaborating with industry leaders to set high standards and goals for achieving impactful philanthropic outcomes.
Beyla earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2019 and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Bellevue University in Nebraska.
