Josephfrank “Jay” Fouda is in his second year as a graduate assistant with the UTSA women’s basketball program.
Fouda was promoted to graduate assistant after serving as the video coordinator and student assistant for the men’s and women’s teams while completing his undergraduate degree.
Prior to joining UTSA, Fouda was serving our country in the United States Army for eight years. He played for the Army team in South Korea and Fort Hood, Texas.
Before joining the military, Fouda played forward for Glendale College in Glendale, Calif.
In 2015, Fouda volunteered as a youth head coach for the YMCA of Greater San Antonio. From 2013-2015, he served as a camp counselor for the UTSA men’s basketball team during the summer.
The Cameroon native earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in athletic coaching from UTSA in May of 2018 and is working towards a master’s in kinesiology.
