Smith was the team’s sixth player as she finished second on the team in scoring with 7.6 points per game and was third in rebounds with 6.0 per outing (187) … appeared in all 31 games for UTSA and shot 48.7 percent (97-for-199) from the field, which was ninth best in Conference USA … from the free throw line, Smith fired 51.8 percent (43-for-83) … totaled three double-doubles on the year … scored in double figures 12 times and grabbed double-digit rebounds five times, including a career-best 14 against UTEP (Feb. 21) … in league-only games, shot 47.4 percent (65-for-137) from the field which ranked 14th and averaged 6.5 rebounds (117) per game (17th) … netted a career-best 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting at Rice (March 5), to go with eight rebounds … matched a career-high three blocks against North Texas (Jan. 4) and scored 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting and was 5-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Freshman (2013-14)
Smith appeared in 30 of 31 games and earned a spot in the starting lineup on seven occasions … picked up C-USA Freshman of the Week honors (Feb. 24) … fourth on the team in scoring with 7.3 points a night … averaged 16.0 minutes on the hardwood while shooting 50 percent from the field (85-160) … led the team in rebounds with 168, averaging 5.6 a night … second on the team in blocks (20), which ranked 20th in C-USA … scored in double-figures on 10 occasions, including a career-high 19 against FIU (Feb. 5) … posted four double-doubles, including her first collegiate double-double in the season opener against Texas (Nov. 10) … led the team in scoring in seven contest and 10 times in rebounds … recorded a career-best 12 rebounds against East Carolina (Feb. 20).
