UTSA head women's basketball coach RaeRippetoe-Blair announced the addition of Laura Skeen as the program'snew director of operations on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Skeen, who hails fromPipe Creek, joins the Roadrunners after spending three seasons as anassistant coach and assistant compliance coordinator at TrinityUniversity in San Antonio. Her duties included recruiting, team travel,film exchange and team volunteer outings.
“Laura is going to be a great addition to our staff.” Rippetoe-Blairsaid upon her hiring. “She’s going to help us get out in the community, as well as helpour players be involved with volunteer work. Laura also has a greatbasketball background being an assistant coach at Trinity and UTArlington.”
Prior to Trinity, Skeen was an assistant at UT Arlington from 2004-05, then a graduate assistant at St. Mary’s.
She earned her bachelor’s in kinesiology from St. Edward’s in 2002 and her master’s in communications at UTSA in 2008.
