Former UTSA standout, Amber Prose begins her fifth year on the coaching staff, after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2002-03. Prose is in charge of recuiting, guard instruction, while assisting with scouting and special situations.

The Seward County Community College product lettered two years as the Roadrunners point guard and led the team in steals and assists both of her years with UTSA.

A two-year starter at Seward County, Prose helped the Saints to a No. 1 ranking before finishing with a 33-1 record in 2000. In 1999 they posted a 34-4 record on the way to a No. 5 national ranking.

A native of Little River, Kan., she was a two-year starter at UTSA. During her stint, she collected 117 assists and totaled 325 points. As a Roadrunner, she helped the team to back-to-back winning seasons during the 2000-01 and 2001-2002 seasons.

Prose graduated from UTSA with a bachelor’s degree in English in May 2003.
