Ryan Vorderer is in his first season as UTSA's assistant coach after joining the Roadrunners following a two-year tenure at powerhouse Nebraska. 
 
"I'm pumped to round out our staff with Ryan joining us," Price-Torok said." He comes from a lot of experience from the playing side, both collegiately and professionally. He was very fortunate to spend the last two seasons at Nebraska, a high-level gym, learning the ins and outs of volleyball. I'm very excited to add him the staff where he'll be a primary trainer in the gym for us and bring a wealth of knowledge of the game, scouting and skill wise. I can't wait to have him down here and get started."
 
Vorderer joins the Roadrunner staff after spending the last two seasons at Nebraska as a graduate assistant where he assisted in creating weekly scouting reports and recruiting responsibilities, analyzed in-game opponent offense and facilitated practice drills.

Prior to his time in Lincoln, Vorderer spend seven seasons as the Ultimate Volleyball Club Coach of the 15-2 boys team, who competed in the BJNC in Phoenix, Ariz.
 
He was also the associate head coach for the boys beach volleyball program. While at the Ultimate Volleyball Club, Vorderer was part of the Lindenwood Game Day Management team from Aug. 2015 - 2018, working gameday operations for all NCAA sports.
 
In 2018, Vorderer spent the year living in England completing his master's degree and playing volleyball for the University of Essex and Tendring Volleyball Club. The university team was able to win the National Championship, as he played a prominent role starting every game at outside hitter. Tendring Volleyball earned a promotion to England's Super League, which is the top division for club teams in England. Vorderer also assisted with the Tendring women's team for the season as they won the Super League Championship Title for the first time in club history. His responsibilities consisted of executing scouting reports, running drills and preparing the girls for upcoming opponents.
 
Prior to his coaching career, Vorderer played volleyball at Lindenwood University, where he was a four-year starter at libero from 2015-18 and earned All-MIVA honors. He led the MIVA and was third in the nation in digs per set in 2018. Vorderer also set the program record for digs at Lindenwood.
 
Vorderer earned a bachelor's in finance from Linwood in 2018 and a master's degree in marketing management from Essex in 2019.
