Competed in cross country as a freshman and sophomore at Hanna High School, helping the Eagles to a pair of district titles ... placed seventh in the district as a freshman and second as a sophomore ... advanced to regionals as both a freshman and sophomore ... ran the 800m during track & field season at Hanna ... district champion as a freshman and sophomore, advancing to regionals each season ... placed second in the 800m as a junior, advancing to the area meet ... also played volleyball and basketball as a freshman and sophomore and softball as a junior.
