Sophomore (2022): Made 37 appearances with 20 starts with a 6-8 record … posted a 5.23 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 107.0 innings … had a .955 fielding percentage with one putouts and 20 assists … led the team in wins, innings pitched, strikeouts and appearances.
Freshman (2021): Made 13 appearances with nine starts … recorded a 3.41 ERA with a 2-7 record with one complete game … posted 29 strikeouts in 41.0 innings … led the team in ERA … named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Prior to UTSA: A four-time letter winner for La Vernia High School, Jamie Gilbert contributed a lot throughout her high school career. Gilbert was a two-time academic all-district winner in 2017 and 2018, as well as first-team all-district pitcher in 2017. In the 2018-19 season, Jamie won District Co-MVP, All Area Sub 5A MVP, All Area Super Team Utility Player and TWSA all-state first team. She also helped her team reach bi-district qualifiers three years in a row and is a three-time district champion.
