Prior to UTSA
Julia Bumford was a four-year varsity softball player for Prosper High School. She was a two-time first team academic all-district, two-time first team all-district, first team all-state and was named the team Offensive MVP for two straight years. Bumford also led her team in home runs and doubles as a freshman and sophomore. She and her team her named 5A Region II area champions in 2017 and 2018 and were the 2018 5A Region II District 14 champions.
