Lexi Beeson was named assistant director of strength & conditioning in September 2015. She works with the Roadrunners' women’s basketball, soccer, softball and men’s and women’s tennis programs.
Beeson previously worked as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State, where she directly assisted with women's basketball, football and volleyball, as well as being responsible for designing, overseeing and administering a year-round strength & conditioning program for the 2015 Southland Conference Champion softball team. She also worked with NCAA Tournament teams in women’s basketball and volleyball during her first year in Natchitoches.
In her first football season with the Demons, Beeson worked with NFL draftee Deon Simon, free-agent signee Imoan Claiborne and CFL free-agent signee Bryant Mitchell.
Prior to that, she interned with Kentucky’s strength & conditioning department, working with basketball, women’s soccer, softball and volleyball.
Beeson was a four-year letterwinner and captain of the Austin College women’s basketball team in addition to being a four-time academic All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selection. She received the 2013 SCAC Character and Community Female Student Athlete Award and was part of the 2011 SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Beeson began her career as the Austin College women’s basketball assistant strength & conditioning coach in December 2013 and she graduated summa cum laude from Austin College with a dual major in business administration and Spanish and a minor in exercise sports science. Beeson is pursuing her master’s degree in health & human performance with an expected completion in December 2015.
Beeson is CSCS certified by the NSCA and USA Weightlifting in addition to be being First Aid, CPR and AED certified.
