Freshman (2016-17)
Posted a 4-5 record in singles competition during the dual-match season in the spring … earned a 7-10 mark in doubles action … won the UTSA Cup Singles Flight 4 in the fall after marching through his bracket with a perfect 4-0 record … rallied for a 6-7, 6-3, 10-4 win against Austin Robles of Arkansas in that home event … scored two singles wins at the Islander Open … teamed with Gabriel Borunda at the Rice Invitational to turn in an 8-3 victory in the opening round of the B Draw, but dropped a third-place match, 8-5, to Troy’s Andre Baldo and Gabriel Niculescu … teamed up with Takeru Watanabe for a run to the ITA Regional doubles draw round of 16 … duo beat UT Arlington’s Pablo Colvee and Sansidh Kommaruju, 8-6, and Abilene Christian’s Jonathan and Josh Sheehy, 8-7.
