Played his rookie season at UT Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas …played in 24 games and started 11 for the Vaqueros, averaging 7.5 points and 3.0 assists on 44.7 percent shooting from the field and 43.5 percent shooting from the perimeter … was named WAC Freshman of the Week four times …. set early career-highs of 18 points (vs. Utah Tech) and nine assists during his debut season, scoring in double-figures nine times and leading the UTRGV team in assists in six games … scored 13 points in collegiate debut at Kansas State (11/7) … made first start at Houston Christian (12/10), scoring two points with two rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes … earned Fall AD Honor Roll recognition (1/26).

Ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Oklahoma by ESPN coming out of McAlester High School … the school's all-time scoring leader with 2,392 points – ranking among the top 50 in Oklahoma history … averaged 32 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals per game as a senior … named All-State, Region 6 Male Athlete of the Year and McAlester News-Capital All-Area Boys Basketball Player of the Year … as a junior, averaged 31 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals while shooting 51 percent from the field, 40 percent from behind the arc and 85 percent from the foul line to earn McAlester News-Capital Player of the Year honors … in his sophomore campaign, averaged 30 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals while earning McAlester News-Capital All-Area First Team honors.
