Made his UTSA debut with 10 games and four starts … missed the first six games of the year while recovering from a preseason injury … averaged 15.1 minutes, 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game … shot 33.3 percent from the field, was 5 of 17 from deep and 13 of 16 from the free-throw line … made his UTSA debut with five minutes vs. Lamar … had four points and three boards at Grand Canyon in 11 minutes …. Played 22 minutes, with three boards, three rebounds, two assists and two steals vs. Sam Houston at Houston’s Toyota Center … missed the next two games before turning for his first career start, 26 minutes at UAB, with six points and four boards … had 13 points and five rebounds vs. Dallas Christian in a start … went for 11 points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes vs. Southern Miss, his third start … sank a 3-pointer at Charlotte before suffering a season-ending injury on Jan. 15.
Prior to UTSA
Played two years at Temple Community College in 2020-21, where he was coached by Kirby Johnson … Averaged 10.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in 30 starts for Temple College as a freshman … shot 48.2 percent (119 of 247) from the field, 35 percent (36- of 103) from 3-point range and 67.9 percent (53 of 78) from the free-throw line … went for 24 points on Nov. 9 vs. Tribulation Prep, adding 20 points outings vs. Hill College and Grayson College … The Leopards went 24-7 in 2019-20.
High School
A three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Austin High School … missed his 2018-19 season due to injury … was named all-district as a junior and sophomore … was tabbed academic all-district in each season he lettered.

Moved to Texas in 2012 after being born in Kenya … son of Akuol Mayen … name is pronounced AHH-ley-you AHH-ley-you.
