After redshirting the 2014-15 season, the walk-on appeared in seven games off the bench at Oklahoma during the 2015-16 campaign that saw the Sooners reach the program’s fifth Final Four … scored two points and pulled down a pair of rebounds during the campaign … also made the Dean’s Honor Roll … was a Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools first-team all-district and first-team 5A all-state selection as a senior at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas, for head coach Jacob Anderson … averaged 17.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in helping the Cardinals to a 27-7 record and a runner-up finish in the state tournament … earned All-Star recognition by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and North Texas Basketball Coaches Association … also was an a TABC and TAPPS all-state pick ... was an honors graduate with a 3.86 GPA … attended Plano East High School as a freshman and sophomore and played on the varsity squad for head coach Doug Bleadorn.
