Was awarded a scholarship before the season and started the first 15 games before his campaign was cut short because of a knee injury … averaged 8.2 points, 3.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per outing … shot 50.5 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from behind the arc … scored in double figures seven times, including a career-high 16 points at Creighton (Nov. 17) … had at least five assists in a game five times, highlighted by career-high seven helpers against Central Arkansas (Nov. 23).
Freshman (2014-15)
Walk-on saw action in 27 games and started the final 22 contests that he appeared in … the point guard averaged 2.4 points, 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game … was even better in Conference USA action when he averaged 3.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest … averaged less than a turnover per game for the campaign and finished with a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio … made his first start and scored his first collegiate points in a win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Dec. 15) … had season bests of seven points and three steals against UTEP (Jan. 17) … dished out a season-high six assists in a win against Texas-Pan American (Jan. 12).
Prior To UTSA
Was a two-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Kurt Keener at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Ariz. … averaged 10 points, four assists and three rebounds as a senior and team captain for the Wolves … was tabbed as one of the Student Athletes of the Year by the Phoenix chapter of the National Alliance of African American Athletes following his senior year … posted 18 points per game as a freshman and 16 points per outing as a sophomore … helped the team to back-to-back appearances in the state semifinals.

Full name is Eugene Littles … born on Nov. 27, 1995, in Denver, Colo. … son of Gene Littles and Loredana Fitzpatrick … his father, Gene, was an NAIA All-American at High Point before being drafted by the New York Knicks in 1969 … he would go on to play six seasons in the American Basketball Association and helped the Kentucky Colonels to the 1975 league championship … following his playing career, he would serve as the head coach of North Carolina A&T (1977-79) before National Basketball Association head coaching gigs with the Cleveland Cavaliers (1985-86), Charlotte Hornets (1990-91) and Denver Nuggets (1994-95) … finance major ... would one day like to be an investor or television analyst.
