A former UTSA tight end, Andrew Acosta has served as the program’s Director of Operations since 2023.
Among his many duties, Acosta is responsible for assisting the coaching staff with day-to-day operations of the program, coordinating practice schedules and team travel, assisting with summer camps, collaborating with campus organizations and organizing community service projects.
Prior to his tenure as Director of Operations, Acosta was UTSA’s Coordinator of Football Operations during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Acosta was a tight end for the Roadrunners from 2017 through 2020. A four-time member of the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll, he helped UTSA win seven games and earn a spot in the First Responder Bowl during his final season.
He was a multi-sport athlete at Fort Stockton High School who competed in football, basketball, baseball and track & field. He was a three-time all-district selection in football, and a two-time all-district performer in both basketball and baseball.
Acosta earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from UTSA in 2021.
