Justine Humphrey (MS, LAT, ATC) joined the UTSA Sports Medicine Staff in July 2022 and currently works with the football team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Previously, she worked as a Resident Athletic Trainer for the football and women’s tennis teams at UTSA while completing the UT Health San Antonio Rehabilitation Residency program.

 

Humphrey is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State in 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then went on to High Point in North Carolina to complete her Master of Science in Athletic Training, graduating in 2022.

 

While completing coursework, Humphrey gained athletic training experience while providing coverage to the Wake Forest football, Davidson football, track and field and women’s soccer, as well as local high school athletics programs. During this time, she also completed a seasonal externship with the Carolina Panthers during their 2021-22 season. As a part of this experience, she was awarded the PFATS & NFL Charities Minority Scholarship.

 

In her free time, Humphrey likes to go cycling, travel or go to the movies. She says her favorite superhero is Iron Man.
