David Rosen was hired in April 2019 as UTSA's Director of Player Personnel.

Rosen came to the Alamo City from Lafayette College, where he served as Director of Football Operations during the 2018 season. He coordinated administrative functions and assisted in team operations, while also overseeing equipment management, filming and video coordination, on-campus recruiting logistics, team travel arrangements, facility maintenance, alumni events and communication, camp enrollment and operations and quality-control assistance.

Prior to his time at Lafayette, Rosen spent the 2017 season in the same capacity at Fairmont State in West Virginia following a four-year tenure (2013-16) as Director of Football Operations at Bryant in Rhode Island. While at Bryant, he was a vital part of team travel, recruiting, training camp, spring game planning, compliance issues and practice planning and scheduling.
 
Rosen spent three years as the Vice President of Business Development at Metro Area Sports LLC in Vienna, Va. While there, Rosen identified potential investor candidates and conducted meetings to secure equity capital for an Arena Football team in Washington, D.C. He also developed a business plan showing return on investment potential of a franchise over a three-year period.
 
Prior to his position with Metro Area Sports LLC, Rosen spent three seasons as the Director of Football Operations at Northwestern State. While in Natchitoches, La., he managed all aspects of the football recruiting process and helped the program garner the top recruiting class in the Football Championships Subdivision in 2009. Rosen also oversaw compliance issues, coordinated prospective student-athlete visits and spearheaded the university’s relationship with NFL and pro scouts, and he also worked with the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach during practice.
 
Rosen worked in the Arena Football League (AFL) for five years prior to his post at Northwestern State. He began as a player personnel and offensive quality control coach with the San Jose SaberCats. He was the lead scout for 15 NFL teams and helped put together a team that won Arena Bowl XXI in 2007. He also handled the breakdown of film and was involved in the game plan each week. 
 
Rosen spent the 2008 season AFL’s Arizona Rattlers, working in player personnel and as a regional scout. He was the lead scout for five college football conferences in the eastern region of the country and he signed five players to the Rattlers roster.
 
Rosen earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Arizona State in 1993 and his master’s degree in sports management from Northwestern State in 2010.
