Saw action in 10 contests and earned a pair of starts at fullback … also played on special teams … started in the wins over UTEP (Oct. 5) and Rice (Oct. 19).
Redshirt Junior (2018)
Played in all 12 games and made two starts at fullback … had one rush for eight yards … hauled in four passes for 14 yards, including a two-yard touchdown grab at Kansas State (Sept. 15).
Redshirt Sophomore (2017)
Appeared in the first six games before suffering a season-ending injury in the 20-7 victory over Rice (Oct. 21) … drew starts in the 17-10 season-opening win at Baylor (Sept. 9), the 51-17 rout of Southern (Sept. 16) and against Southern Miss (Oct. 7) and North Texas (Oct. 14) … helped pave the way for single-game school records of 569 total and 357 rushing yards in the Texas State victory.
Sophomore (2016)
Started the opener against Alabama State (Sept. 3) but sustained a season-ending injury … caught a 5-yard pass in that contest … granted a medical redshirt.
Freshman (2015)
Appeared in 10 games, primarily on special teams … did not play at #25 Oklahoma State (Sept. 19) and the following week against Colorado State (Sept. 26) due to injury … rushed three times for one yard and caught a 1-yard touchdown pass at North Texas (Oct. 31).
Prior To UTSA
Played both running back and linebacker during his prep career … finished his senior season with 193 yards (5.4 avg.) and five rushing touchdowns on just 36 carries and added a team-high 68 tackles to go along with one interception … recorded 47 stops, including two for a loss, and an interception during his junior campaign despite missing three games … coached by Patrick Turner.

Born Dec. 13, 1996… son of Demetria Porter and Tony Steward … brother, Tony, was a 2010 prep All-America linebacker who played at Clemson from 2011-14 and was a sixth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills during the 2015 NFL Draft … earned his bachelor's degree in sociology in May 2019.
