Junior (2014)
Played in all 12 contests, including 11 starts … registered 23 tackles (16 solos/seven assists), an interception and five pass breakups … racked up a season-high five stops at Oklahoma State (Sept. 13) … his lone pick of the campaign came in the season opener at Houston (Aug. 29) … broke up a season-best two passes against FIU (Oct. 11).
Sophomore (2013)
Earned honorable mention All-Conference USA accolades in what was his first action since his senior year of high school in 2010 … played in 10 games and started the final nine contests overall … recorded 29 tackles (16 solos/13 assists) and a team-leading 11 pass breakups, including a game-clinching interception on the final play of the game at North Texas (Nov. 23) … had a total of seven PBUs, including a career-best three against the Mean Green, in his final three outings … had a career-high nine stops and broke up a pair of passes in his first-ever starting assignment at UTEP (Sept. 21) … added four tackles in back-to-back games against UAB (Oct. 26) and at Tulsa (Nov. 2).
Freshman (2012)
Did not play after transferring from Oklahoma during fall camp.
Prior To UTSA
Sat out the 2011 campaign as a redshirt at Oklahoma … two-year starter for head coach Joe McBride at Coppell High School … earned second-team Class 5A all-state, first-team all-area (The Dallas Morning News) and first-team All-District 7-5A honors as a senior … recorded 37 tackles, intercepted three passes and broke up 13 that season in helping lead the Cowboys to a 13-1 record and a berth in the UIL 5A Division I state quarterfinals … registered a pair of picks and also caught nine passes for 142 yards and a touchdown en route to all-district accolades as a junior … coached by Joe McBride.
