Appeared in 10 contests … started the first three tilts, as well as the season finale against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 30) … missed the UAB (Oct. 26) and Tulsa (Nov. 2) games due to illness … recorded 18 tackles (12 solos/6 assists) and broke up a pass against Houston (Sept. 28) … had a season-high four stops in the home opener against #13 Oklahoma State (Sept. 7) and at Marshall (Oct. 5).
Sophomore (2012)
Played in 11 games and started 10 … did not play against Texas A&M-Commerce (Sept. 8) due to injury … accumulated 33 tackles (27 solos/6 assists) and pair of pass breakups in addition to recovering a fumble at Georgia State (Sept. 15) … recorded a season-best five stops in three different outings (Utah State/McNeese State/Texas State).
Freshman (2011)
Started all 10 contests … made 35 tackles (23 solos/12 assists), registered a pair of interceptions and broke up a total of six passes … his pick against McMurry (Sept. 10) was the first in program history … added a half dozen stops (5 solos) in that contest … had a season-high seven tackles (4 solos) in the season opener against Northeastern State (Sept. 3) … other INT came at McNeese State (Nov. 12) … redshirted in 2010.
Prior To UTSA
Earned 2009 first-team All-East Texas (Tyler Morning Telegraph), first-team all-area and first-team All-District 11-5A accolades as a senior … collected 33 tackles, intercepted five passes (one TD), broke up 12 passes and forced a pair of fumbles to help lead team to a 12-2 record and the fourth round of the state playoffs … coached by Dereck Rush.
