Junior (2013)
Earned honorable mention All-Conference USA accolades … appeared in all 12 games, including five starting assignments … brought in 20 receptions for 274 yards (13.7 avg.) and two touchdowns … had season highs of three catches for 62 yards, including a 37-yarder, at North Texas (Nov. 23) … added three grabs for 58 yards the previous contest against Tulane (Nov. 9) … also had three receptions, including a 10-yard score, in the home opener against #13 Oklahoma State (Sept. 7) … other TD was a 17-yarder in the program’s inaugural Conference USA contest at UTEP (Sept. 21).
Sophomore (2012)
Played in all 12 contests and started five … found a home at tight end and on special teams after playing two other positions since his arrival at UTSA (QB/LB) … hauled in 15 passes for 308 yards (20.5 avg.) and a team-leading four receiving touchdowns … average TD reception covered nearly 38 yards and seven of his catches went for at least 22, including four that went for 30-plus and a 57-yarder … set career highs with three catches for 101 yards and program-record two scores at #22 Louisiana Tech (Nov. 3) … his two TDs in that contest covered 57 and 33 yards … added three receptions for 54 yards against Utah State (Oct. 27), including a 38-yarder … also caught a pair of passes for 62 yards, including a 32-yard TD, against Northwestern Oklahoma State (Sept. 22).
Freshman (2011)
Saw action at linebacker, tight end and on special teams in six games … collected a total of three tackles (1 solo/2 assists) and caught a 16-yard pass against South Alabama (Oct. 8) … redshirted in 2010.
Prior To UTSA
Earned second-team San Antonio Express-News all-area honors as a return specialist and was named the District 29-3A Most Valuable Player as a senior … passed for 1,113 yards, ran for 951 and accounted for 18 total TDs that year … a third-team Class 3A all-state quarterback, first-team all-area all-purpose choice and the unanimous District 29-3A MVP as a junior … led the San Antonio area with 3,682 total yards (2,091 pass/1,591 rush) … completed 55 percent (120-for-218) of his passes with 31 TDs … averaged 9.5 yards per rush and reached paydirt 16 times … named the District 29-3A Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore after accounting for 1,784 total yards (1,139 pass/645 rush) and 15 TDs (11 pass/four rush) … coached by Larry Prince … also an all-state discus performer as a senior.
