Saw action in all 10 games with nine starts … recorded a team-leading 69 tackles (27 solos/42 assists) … second on the squad with six sacks and ranked third with 8.5 tackles for loss … also had a pair of quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery … posted a season-high 11 stops (6 solos) at UC Davis (Oct. 15) … added nine tackles against Minot State (Nov. 19) and had seven in four of his first five contests … posted sacks in five of his outings with season bests of 1.5 against Northeastern State (Sept. 3) and Minot State.
Prior To UTSA
Two-year starter at Pierce (Calif.) College who played in 21 career games from 2009-10 … led the team in tackles and tackles for loss both seasons … posted 103 stops (59 solos/44 assists), including 11 for loss, as a sophomore en route to first-team all-conference honors … also blocked two punts that year … named first-team all-conference as a freshman after recording 99 tackles (49 solos/50 assists), 16 of which came behind the line of scrimmage … also registered 1.5 sacks … coached by Efrain Martinez … helped high school team win the 2006 CIF Division I State Championship against perennial power Concord (Calif.) De La Salle.
