Kyle Bergeron Season 2021

2020 (Senior): Hit .298 in 16 games for UIW in 2020, going 14-for-47 at the plate with nine runs, four doubles, one homer and 10 RBI ... drew 15 walks and struck out 17 games ... stolen six bases and had a .493 on-base percentage. 

Prior to UTSA: Played three seasons at UIW ... 2019 (Junior): Played in 11 games before redshirting. 2018 (Sophomore): One of two Cardinals to play and start in all 55 games… named second team All-Southland Conference at shortstop… registered 75 hits and a .321 batting average… accumulated 46 runs and 50 RBI… had 14 doubles, a triple and a team-high six home runs for a team-best .466 slugging percentage… had 19 walks and a .396 on-base percentage… stole five bases… led the team with 22 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI games… had a hitting streak of 13 games and reached base in 20 consecutive games… had a season-high four hits in three separate games… had four RBI on three different occasions… registered 36 hits, 19 runs and 20 RBIs in Southland Conference action… was 3-for-4 with two runs and four RBI at Texas A&M on Feb. 28. 2017 (Freshman): He started 45 of the 46 games he appeared in... had a .244 BA, 25 runs, 42 hits, eight doubles, and three home runs... had a .337 OB%. On defense he had 218 putouts and 57 assists along with a .975 fielding percentage... was named to the SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA. 

High School: Member of the Student Council and the Ready Set Teach Program. Bergeron was named 1st team All-District (Baseball) 2014-2016 and 2nd team All-District (Basketball) in 2014-2015.

Personal: Bergeron is studying Business Finance and was born October 17, 1998 ... he is the son of Robert and Kari Bergeron ... he has a brother, Kolten.
