Freshman (2021): Had an 0-2 record and a 5.48 ERA over seven games and six starts … tossed 21.1 innings, allowing 22 hits and 14 walks, striking out 18 … went 0-2 with a 6.11 ERA in five C-USA starts, tossing 17.2 innings, allowing 18 hits and 10 walks, striking out 15 … UTSA was 3-3 in his starts … made season debut by pitching the ninth at Baylor on March 16 … worked 3.1 innings in his first career start on April 11, allowing a run … made starts at No. 21 Charlotte, UAB, No. 19 Old Dominion and twice at No. 14/18 LA Tech … worked 5.2 innings in a hard-luck loss at UAB, allowing one earned run with a walk and five strikeouts.
Junior (2020): Worked in six games with two starts ... had a 0-0 record and a 2.19 ERA ... worked 12.1 innings, allowing eight hits and three runs, walking nine and striking out 12 ... held opponents to a .205 average.
Prior to UTSA:Appeared in 23 games in 2019 for Navarro JC, posting a 1-3 record and 10 saves … held opponents to a .210 batting average and averaged 14.29 K/9 … fanned 45 batters and walked 20 in 28.1 innings of work … helped lead Navarro to the 2017 NJCAA Region 14 East Conference Championship … tabbed NJCAA Region 14 fist-team all-conference … had a 2.86 ERA with 11.05 strikeouts per game … held opponents to a .194 average … named to the President’s List at Navarro with a 4.0 GPA.

HALLMARK ON JONES - Pepper Jones has history of pitching well and in big games. He led Navarro to the Junior College World Series and we will look to Pepper to get some big outs for UTSA this spring.
