Graduate (2022): A staple in the UTSA baseball program, Tapia made his last season his best helping the Roadrunners achieve historic program success … slashed .309/.412/.478 on the season, going 71-230 at the dish with 21 doubles, six home runs and 50 RBI … Tapia’s 21 doubles were the sixth most in a single season by a UTSA player … was HBP 16 times on the year, bringing his career total to 53, a UTSA school record … played in the ninth most games by a Roadrunner (212) … Tapia also tied the school record for most sacrifice flies in a career with 14 … played all over the field, making starts at six different fielding positions and seven total in his career … had 19 multi-hit games on the year with six three-hit games … was a constant cog in the Roadrunner lineup, leading off 45 games and batting second in the other 11 he played … had a season-high four RBI against Charlotte (4/1) … scored a season-high four runs against FIU (4/22).

Freshman (2018):Appeared in 44 games, including 30 starts in the outfield, as a first-year player … batted .206 (21 for 102) with two doubles, a triple, one home run and 16 RBIs … drew 11 bases on balls, scored 19 runs and ranked third on the team with nine stolen bases … his first career hit was a three-run homer against San Francisco (Feb. 17) … racked up a season-high three hits against Louisiana Tech (April 7).
