On the roster at Cisco Junior College and redshirted his freshman season and sat out his sophomore campaign due to injury … attended Fort Bend Austin High School and earned three letters as a pitcher and shortstop … batted .354 as a senior with a .436 on base percentage and .416 slugging percentage … tossed 27.2 innings as a senior and totaled a 2.28 ERA … tabbed an honorable mention selection in 2011 and named first team all-district and second team All-Houston Area as a junior.
