Sophomore (2016)
Standout sophomore season for the Pearland native as he batted a .286 clip and appeared and started in all 51 games for the Roadrunners … collected the team’s second most hits with 60, which included 17 doubles (T-6 in C-USA, 11th in UTSA single-season records), one triple and three home runs … posted two long hitting streaks with a 12-gamer (career best) and 11-gamer … recorded 17 multiple hit games and seven multiple RBI games … scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the season opener against UConn (2/19) and had both runs of the game … scored a team second-best 37 runs with 27 RBIs and nine stolen bases … posted a .419 slugging percentage with a .367 on base percentage … matched a career best three runs on three occasions as a sophomore … registered three hits on four occasions for a career best and blasted his first triple of his career against Gonzaga (3/13) in game one of the doubleheader … named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Freshman (2015)
Saw action in 35 contests and started 28 times … homered twice against Charlotte (5/15) in back-to-back innings, which his second was a three-run homer … in that same game, Valentine went 2-for-5 with three runs, and a career-high five RBIs … had another three run game against Old Dominion (4/10) as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI and double … notched seven multi-hit and three multi-RBI games and ended the season on a five-game hit streak … registered 22 hits, three doubles, three home runs, scored 20 runs and drove in 21 ... tied for the team lead with four sacrifice flies … named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
