Junior (2015)
The southpaw made 14 appearances on the bump with 13 starts and posted a 4.88 ERA … logged 51.2 innings and struck out 36 batters and issued 17 walks … pitched 5-plus innings three times, including a season-best of 5.2 innings at FIU (4/5) where he allowed one unearned run on seven hits … struck out season-high of five batters over five innings of work against Bryant (2/21) and matched that total at Texas State (4/14) in 3.2 innings of work … had a quick turnaround in starts when he started Sunday against Old Dominion (4/11) and then Tuesday at Texas State (4/14).
Sophomore (2014)
Third on the team with a 2.43 ERA … made 15 appearances, all starts, and finished the year with a 9-3 record … tossed the second most innings on the pitching staff with 81.1 and threw one combined shutout game … tied for third in Conference USA in wins (9) and starts (15) … the southpaw’s nine victories on the year ranked 49th in the NCAA … struck out a career-best eight batters against East Carolina (5/22) at the C-USA Baseball Championship where he allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits over eight innings of action.
Freshman (2013)
Made 20 appearances and 15 starts … finished with a 4-3 record and 4.38 ERA in 74 innings pitched … had a 33/15 strikeout-to-walk ratio … combined on a three-hit shutout with Matt Sims against top-seeded CSU Bakersfield in the finale of WAC Tournament pool play (5/25) … allowed just one earned run in five innings of work against Oregon State in the first game of the NCAA Tournament Corvallis Regional (6/1).
High School
A three-year letterwinner and two-year starter for head coach Gene Flores … posted a 4-3 record with a 0.81 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 69.2 innings as a senior … named first-team All-Greater Houston Area, first-team All-District 24-5A during that season … also named team's most valuable player … an honorable mention all-district selection as a junior.
