Had a stellar junior campaign and posted a 5.30 ERA over 35.2 innings of action (shut down on 4/25 with arm injury) … did not give up an extra-base hit until his ninth appearance of the season against Texas State (3/15) with a home run … struck out a career best five batters against Sam Houston State in three innings of relief and helped UTSA overcome a four-run deficit to an 8-5 victory … pitched a career high 4.1 innings against Gonzaga (3/12) and scattered four hits and did not allow a run or walk … through five appearances held a 1.86 ERA in 9.2 innings …. held batters to a .271 average and went 4-3 with a pair of saves.
Sophomore (2015)
Received the call from the bullpen 15 times and closed out the year with a 4.80 ERA … pitched in a pair of combined shutouts over Incarnate Word (2/24) and Houston Baptist (3/10) … tossed 15.0 innings and did not receive a decision … registered 11 strikeouts and issued only two walks … matched a career-best of two strikeouts on three occasions … did not allow a walk in his first six appearances and an earned run through seven.
Freshman (2014)
Made 11 appearances on the mound for the Roadrunners in his first season and compiled a 4.91 ERA … logged 14.2 innings and recorded 11 strikeouts with three walks … did not allow an earned run in his last four appearances of the season … out of 22 hits scattered, only three went for extra bases … tossed a season-high three innings against Incarnate Word (3/4) and gave up two runs on four hits, struck out a season best two and walked one.

A four-year starter at pitcher and first base for coach Anthony Schlise … threw a one-hitter against Manuel in which he tallied 15 strikeouts … lead team to the third round of the playoffs and three district titles.
