Junior (2016)
Finished with the team’s second best batting average of a .289 clip and saw action in all 51 games … registered a team fourth-best 55 hits and blasted a team-best five homers … scored 27 runs and drove in 31, which is best for second on the team … drew a walk 18 times and posted a .426 slugging percentage … ended the season on an eight-game hitting streak and recorded 15 games in multiple hits … also had nine multiple RBI games … his 10-game hit streak early in the season was a career best … best outing was against McNeese (2/27) when he went 4-for-6 with a pair of runs, RBIs and doubles … made only five miscues on the field between second and third base for a .970 fielding percentage … named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Sophomore (2015)
Played in 48 games and split time between third base and shortstop … notched 15 multi-hit and four multi-RBI games (three of which were 3-RBI games) … batted .283 and slugged .418 … homered twice against Florida Atlantic (3/29) and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs … held an eight-game hit streak but reached base safely through 16 games … against Marshall (3/14) went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a double, run scored and stolen base … finished the year with 52 hits, 10 doubles, five home runs, 27 RBIs, 30 runs scored and six stolen bases … named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Freshman (2014)
Appeared and started in 60 of 61 games as a true freshman at second base … batted .203 with 40 hits, nine of which went for extra bases … scored 16 runs and drove in 26 … posted nine multi-hit and five multi-RBI games … ended the season on a four-game hit streak … led the league in assists (184) and ranked 10th in fielding double plays … went 2-for-3 against Incarnate Word (3/4) and scored a pair of runs with an RBI … scored a career-best three runs against A&M-Corpus Christi (4/8) on a 2-for-4 performance at the plate … in game 2 of the Middle Tennessee (5/3) series, Pickering went 2-for-4 with a run scored, home run and career-high four RBIs.
