Appeared in 22 games out of the bullpen and served as team’s closer … posted a 4.91 ERA with seven saves and 32 strikeouts in 25.2 innings … three of his seven saves were two-inning stints … fanned two in a save against both Dallas Baptist (2/28) and Louisiana-Lafayette (3/4) … struck out two in final frame to close out UTSA’s 4-1 victory over then-No. 1 Baylor (4/24) … hurled a pair of perfect innings to earn his seventh save and preserve a shutout at Texas State (5/13).
Freshman (2011)
Appeared in 12 contests, including three as a starter … finished his inaugural season with a 1-0 record to go along with a 6.56 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 23.1 innings … made first career appearance at Louisiana-Monroe (2/19) … his first career start and longest stint on the mound came against Notre Dame (3/15) … in that contest, he logged 3.2 innings while striking out four … fanned four batters in two scoreless innings of relief against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/1).

Two-year letterwinner as a pitcher for head coach Thomas Loria … posted a 6-3 record with a 2.73 ERA and struck out 93 batters in 56 innings of work during his senior season … batted .389 that season … pitched a two-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts against Cypress Creek HS … earned first-team all-district honors … selected to the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game … garnered Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State honors.
