2023 C-USA All-Conference Freshman Team
Freshman (2023): Appeared in 20 games with one start… posted a 5-0 record… struck out 57 batters in 46.0 innings pitched… didn’t allow a run in 11 of his outings… against UIW on March 1, he struck out six batters and allowed just one hit in three innings… struck out seven and allowed one hit in three innings pitched against Texas State on April 18… earned his first win on Feb. 25 against Saint Mary’s (CA)… earned his lone start on May 16 at Abilene Christian… named to the Conference USA All-Conference Freshman Team.
Prior to UTSA
High School: Attended Wimberley High School in Wimberley, Texas… played two years of varsity baseball for the Texans… posted a 1.28 ERA with five wins in his senior season in 2022… named the all-district team pitcher in 2022… helped lead the Texans to 2021 and 2022 bi-district championships.
Personal: Son of Kimberley and Brandon Riojas… has a sister, Raichle… cousin, Christopher, played baseball at Concordia University… majoring in kinesiology.
