Junior (2016)
Batted .265 in his first season as a Roadrunner and started behind the dish in all 51 games … ranked fourth on the team in runs (27) and RBIs (23) and fifth in hits with 48 … led the team with 16 doubles (T-11 in C-USA) and held the longest reached base streak on the team with 21 consecutive games … posted a .381 slugging percentage and .373 on base percentage … tied for a team second-best 16 multiple hit games with five multi-RBI contests … caught 12 would-be stealers, which was best for a tie for fifth in the league … had his first four-hit game of his career against WKU (4/23) where he went 4-for-5 with a run, RBI and double … fielded .994 with 275 putouts, 61 assists and two errors … during the final home series of the season, went 2-for-3 against Charlotte (5/13) with a run, walk and career best two doubles … named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 

Prior to UTSA
George was a two-year starter at catcher for McLennan Community College and helped the Highlanders to an appearance in the NJCAA World Series…batted .448 his senior season with a .545 on base percentage and racked up 43 hits, nine doubles and scored 25 runs…received the Marrucci Elite hitter award at the World Series for batting a .571 clip and was also recognized as the top catcher at the World Series…helped the Highlanders to a Region 5 championship and earned the NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement…played at China Springs High School for his prep career where he helped the Cougars to the playoffs all four years…named second team all-state and was a four-time all-district selection….president of the National Honor Society and garnered academic All-American honors.
