SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men’s tennis team is set to host its first match of 2026, as they host Tulane at the UTSA Tennis Center on Friday at 11 a.m.
The Roadrunners (0-5) aim for their first victory of the campaign, last falling to Wichita State, 1-6. Sophomore Oskar Grzegorzewski was the lone squad member to pick up a win against the Shocker, taking down Ilias Worthington 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6).
The Green Wave (1-2) started the season with a win over Southern, before falling to Ole Miss and No. 21 LSU. The doubles duo of Alec Gardiner and AJ Mercer have gone 2-1 for the squad, while Lance Nisbet and Daniel Phillis are undefeated at 2-0. In singles action, Tulane has gone 6-12, with six different competitors picking up wins.
