Road slate closes at Baylor's H-E-B Invitational

WACO, Texas – On Thursday, UTSA Women’s Tennis returns to action for its final road trip of the fall. The Roadrunners are set to visit Baylor for a second time this season, gearing up for the four-day H-E-B Invitational from Hurd Tennis Center.

All eight members of the 2026-27 squad will take the court in singles action from Waco. Additionally, the group will split into four pairs for doubles play. Every pair will have four scheduled matches with no byes, same-school matchups or repeat opponents. Action will commence at 9 a.m. on both Thursday and Friday, but weekend start times are still to be determined.

Last week, the ‘Runners competed at the American Conference Individual Championships in Houston. Laia Tarazona Peyro was the lone member of the Navy & Orange to take a set in the main draw, but the southpaw Spaniard fell in three sets.

Earlier this month, Ki Kroll’s bunch trekked to Waco for the ITA Texas Regional Championships. In the qualifying bracket, Gabriela Felix da Silva took two victories, advancing to the main draw. True freshman Katsiaryna Dubik also earned a spot in the top singles flight.
