SAN ANTONIO – Junior Enzo Vargas represented the UTSA men’s tennis team at the American Individual Championships on Saturday, winning a semifinal match at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
Vargas defeated No. 2 seed Daniel Philips of Tulane, 6-3, 6-4, to become the first Roadrunner to reach the finals of the American Individual Championships since Danijal Muminovic in 2024. Vargas looks to become UTSA’s first-ever winner as he meets No. 4 seed Victor Tosetto of Tulsa on Sunday.
