SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics announced on Tuesday that Thomas J. Henry Law is the first uniform patch sponsor of the Roadrunners volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The deal was brokered by UTSA Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for UTSA Athletics, powered by Playfly Sports, the sports industry’s leading revenue maximization company.
“We are thrilled to welcome Thomas J. Henry Law as a premier uniform patch sponsor for our basketball and volleyball programs,” UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos said. “As we continue to identify new opportunities to support our mission, strategic sponsorships such as this one play an important role in enhancing resources for our student-athletes. We are grateful for Thomas J. Henry Law’s commitment to UTSA Athletics and for their investment in the success of our Roadrunners.”
Thomas J. Henry Law will be featured on all home and road jerseys for the aforementioned teams, with a white logo on navy blue jerseys and a navy blue logo on orange and white jerseys. This will deliver powerful visibility during games both for fans in the venue and those watching either on linear television or via streaming for Thomas J. Henry Law, which has more than 250 personal injury attorneys spread across San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, and Houston, including an office less than three miles from the UTSA Convocation Center.
Thomas J. Henry Law will also serve as an exclusive personal injury sponsor of UT San Antonio Athletics for football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball. The sponsorship includes in-venue LED and static signage at the Alamodome and the Convocation Center, radio integration on iHeartRadio, including the Jeff Traylor Coach’s Show, courtside LED exposure on ESPN+ broadcasts, and digital placement across UTSA Athletics' website and app.
“Jersey patch sponsorships create a unique opportunity for brands to become part of the identity of a team, and having a San Antonio-based sponsor like Thomas J. Henry Law makes this especially meaningful,” said Tony Nix, General Manager of UTSA Sports Properties. “We’ve worked closely with UTSA Athletics to thoughtfully bring new assets to market that generate meaningful revenue while creating value for our sponsors. We’re excited to see Thomas J. Henry Law represented on the court alongside the Roadrunners this season.”
“It is a genuine honor to sponsor UT San Antonio,” Thomas J. Henry Law owner Thomas J. Henry said. “This is one of the finest institutions in our city, and their student-athletes represent the very best of San Antonio. Our commitment goes beyond a logo on a jersey. We want to help these young men and women succeed on the court, on the field, and — just as importantly — off of it. The studies are clear: students who compete in athletics go on to become their generation's leaders. If we can play even a small role in that journey, we will have done something that matters.”
UTSA Athletics now has four teams with jersey patch sponsors, including soccer, which features Las Palapas on its uniforms. UTSA is one of only two programs in the American Conference to have multiple sports with jersey patch sponsors, along with Memphis. UTSA is believed to be one of just four programs in NCAA Division I with multiple jersey patch sponsors, along with Omaha, UTEP, and Wisconsin, which like UTSA, have two sponsors.
