NORMAN, Okla. — The UTSA men’s golf program has earned the PLATFORM Golf All-Academic Team award for the eighth consecutive year, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday.
The Roadrunners received the award for posting a team GPA of 3.0-or-better during the 2025-26 academic year, their fourth season under head coach Matt Wernecke.
A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season. Of that group, 155 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
