SAN ANTONIO – The 2026 season is right over the horizon for the defending American Conference Champion Roadrunners soccer squad. With the players getting settled in, the team will begin fall camp in mid-July and the Roadrunners will be welcoming five new additions to the 2026 roster heading into the new season. Ninth-year head coach Derek Pittman and the Roadrunners welcome freshman Olivia D’Ambrosia, and transfers Shea Ryan, Sadie Paul, Sabrina Taber and Kylie Kissee as UTSA starts the title-defense campaign. Bolstering UTSA’s returning championship roster, this group adds two forwards, two midfielders and a goalkeeper, with players from California, Colorado and three from Texas, including a pair returning home to San Antonio.

Olivia D’Ambrosia

Bio: A 2026 team captain and MVP at the Fountain Valley School in Fountain, Colorado … Earned CHSAA 2A All-State Honorable Mention and and First Team All-Black Forest League, helping the Danes to the state playoffs after finishing second in the conference standings … Played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado, helping the Lions to be 4A state finalists in both seasons … Member of a very active soccer family, with her father playing at Belhaven and cousins playing at Denver and Wyoming, while other family members have competed in track & field, diving and cheer … Played club for Colorado Rapids ECNL, helping her team win the 2025 ECNL U17 Showcase Cup B in the National Playoffs.
Shea Ryan
Position: Forward

Bio: Comes to San Antonio with 36 games of power conference experience from the SEC and Big 12, spending last season at Texas A&M … Played 14 games for the Aggies last year, following a 22-game rookie season at Kansas, where she made two starts … Scoring two goals with one assist with a .556 SOG percentage, including a gamewinner and an assist against South Dakota State, she helped the Jayhawks to a 13-6-4 record in 2024, winning the Big 12 Championship and reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years … Originally from California and only starting competitive soccer just before Granite Bay High School, she play club for San Juan SC ECNL and is wrapping up her third summer season with Iron Rose FC of the Women's Premier Soccer League in California.
Sadie Paul

Bio: Played last season at TCU, appearing in three matches for the Horned Frogs … Began her career at SMU, making her first career appearance vs. Texas Southern and scoring a goal, but her season was cut short by injury after just two games … Competed as a multisport athlete including swimming, softball, basketball and winning a state championship in field hockey at Fort Worth’s All Saints Episcopal School … Finished off her high school career playing for IMG Academy Elite in Florida … Her father played baseball at Arkansas and went on to earn an MLB Draft selection and play in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Sabrina Taber

Bio: Played last season at Houston, with eight games of action for the Cougars, scoring her first career goal against 25th-ranked West Virginia to give UH a first-half lead … Attended Cincinnati for her first two years of college, but injury limited her time on the pitch to only two outings …. Originally from San Antonio, she led Smithson Valley to its first-ever state tournament and a 27-0-1 record, winning the Class 5A Region IV championship with the season ending in the UIL State Semifinal … Led the Rangers to three consecutive district titles … As a senior in 2022-23, she was named the San Antonio Express-News Girls Soccer Athlete of the Year with 21 goals and 17 assists for SVHS, and was selected as UIL State Tournament Class 5A Team, Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) First Team All-State, capping her career with her third First Team All-District honor … Named District 27-6A Forward of the Year in 2022 after tallying a team-high 27 goals and 30 assists, following up a 2021 Forward of the Year honor off 22 goals and 13 assists – garnering All-State Honorable Mention (2022) and First Team All-Region IV-6A (2021).
Kylie Kissee

Bio: Attended North Texas last season and made no appearances in goal for the Mean Green … Originally from the San Antonio area, she is a graduate of Fort Sam Houston’s Robert G. Cole High School, where she was a two-time team captain who also played volleyball for four years and competed in track & field and softball … A National Honor Society student and member of the student council, she graduated magna cum laude with the President’s Award and has strong history of civic and community involvement … Playing defender and leading her team in goals the first two years of high school, she earned First Team All-District 27-4A as a senior, she helped the Cougars to reach the 2025 UIL Texas Girls Soccer State Championships Bi-District Playoffs… Beyond school competition, she played on the South Texas ODP team and was invited to regional and national ODP events in Tennessee … Her father played football at Sul Ross State.
The Roadrunners officially take the pitch at the Park West Athletics Complex in an exhibition opener against Texas at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5. After facing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a road exhibition (Aug. 8), UTSA soccer will officially kick off their season at home in the Battle for I-35, hosting Texas State at Park West on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
UTSA soccer season tickets are on sale now. All tickets are general admission and can be purchased for $70 (including fees). Season ticket holders in 2026 will receive a thank you gift from the team and have access to exclusive team activities, including a team practice, lunch and post-game autograph session. Season ticket members can also purchase a limited-edition 2025 Championship scarf with their season tickets for an additional $35 at time of purchase (a total price of $105 with ticket fees). The Texas exhibition tickets are available now for $27 (all prices including taxes and fees), while season ticket members have been offered exclusive pricing for $12.
