SAN ANTONIO – On Thursday, UTSA Women’s Tennis Head Coach Ki Kroll finalized the signing of three additions to the 2026-27 roster. The trio consists of two Division I transfers and an incoming true freshman, with all three individuals holding international backgrounds. With its additions, the Roadrunners fall roster moved to eight deep alongside five returners for UTSA.

Diana Khaydarshina | Senior | Krasnodar, Russia | FIU

Prior to her 2025-26 stop at FIU, Diana Khaydarshina spent two seasons with Idaho, spanning 2023-25. The Russia native amassed 19 dual victories with the Vandals, including 10 in Big Sky play. In 2023-24, she was named to the All-Big Sky Singles First Team after going 10-7 as a true freshman. Khaydarshina competed primarily in the top flight for Idaho, finishing 6-3 overall across her two seasons on court one. During the 2024-25 campaign, she also strung together a dominant doubles showing, going 11-2 with two different partners. After heading to FIU, she was named to the CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in her lone season with the Panthers.

Gabriela Felix da Silva | Junior | Rio de Jainero, Brazil | Iowa State

A native of Brazil, Gabriela Felix da Silva spent her first two collegiate seasons with Iowa State. There, she was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and picked up two spots on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She tallied a total of nine wins in singles play alongside 11 doubles victories for the Cyclones. In 2024-25, the squad went 11-11 overall, sealing a win over Omaha courtesy of Felix da Silva’s match-clinching singles triumph by a 6-2, 6-0 mark.

Katsiaryna Dubik | Freshman | Minsk, Belarus | Gymnasium No. 12 of Minsk

During her high school days, Katsiaryna Dubik cracked the top 10 rankings for Belarus players under the age of 18. Dubik amassed multiple medals in national championship competitions, earning wins and runner-up finishes while at ITF J60, J30, Tennis Europe U14 and U16 events. The Minsk native will enter as the lone true freshman on the 2026-27 UTSA squad.

Head Coach Ki Kroll, on the trio: “It’s great to have three strong ladies joining the team this fall, with two transfers and one freshman. We’re very excited about all of them. Gabriela brings an array of experience as a top 200 ITF player with a relentless game. Diana hits an explosive ball and will bring much needed leadership to our young team. We couldn't be more excited about our two transfers. Our final recruit is Katsiaryna, another big hitter, who will bring a big game, and should help us keep moving in the right direction.”

In 2025-26, UTSA finished 9-11 overall, boasting a 9-2 record at home. The Roadrunners won each of their first six matches at UTSA Tennis Center en route to securing the league’s No. 10 seed in the American Conference Championship. The Navy & Orange will return Celine Absawi, Giuliana Giardina, Aoka Nagasawa, Laia Tarazona Peyro and Akari Tomoyose for Kroll’s ninth season at the helm.
