Miller earns triple jump First Team All-America honors

EUGENE, Ore. – Wrapping up the final performance from the UTSA track & field teams on Friday at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, redshirt junior Jemuel Miller registered a postseason best in the triple jump and came away from historic Hayward Field with his first outdoor First Team All-America accolades.

Laying down his best career performance in NCAA postseason competition, Miller (Bridgetown, Barbados) skipped 16.45m (53-11.75) on his third attempt to secure one of the top slots and his spot in the finals. That mark stood for the UTSA record-holder and he finished sixth overall for his highest career outdoor finish – becoming an outdoor First Team All-American for the first time, second first-team nod overall and his fourth All-America honor.

Miller is the first to garner First Team All-America honors in the men’s triple jump since Devon Bond in 2010, logging the best postseason finish in UTSA’s history for the event.

With Miller’s performance, the Roadrunners finish competition at outdoor nationals and the 2026 season. UTSA also comes away from the meet with a Second Team All-America (Ida Breigan, 15th place long jump) and a pair of All-America Honorable Mention awards (Daisy Monie, 19th in shot put/ Martín Kouyoumdjian, 18th in 400-meter).
