LOS ANGELES – D1Softball.com officially unveiled its 2026 Freshman All-America squad on Thursday, with UTSA pitcher Arlette Hernandez receiving recognition on the second team following a stellar season for the Roadrunners.
Hernandez becomes the first student-athlete in program history to achieve the accolade, following a season that saw her rank 10th across the NCAA with 32 games started, while finishing 19th with 189.2 innings pitched, 19th with 18 complete games, 40th with 157 strikeouts, and 54th, making 38 total appearances. She compiled a 14-15 record, with a 3.84 ERA for the Roadrunners.
In addition to this award, Hernandez was named NFCA Second-Team All-Region, Second-Team All-American Conference and made the American All-Freshman team.
