Rowdy Creative Agency named finalists for 2026 SVG College Sports Media Awards

ATLANTA – The Sports Video Group officially released the finalists for its 2026 SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA, with UTSA’s Rowdy Creative Agency receiving recognition with a trio of videos in the Outstanding In-Venue Video category.

“I’m incredibly proud of our creative team,” said UTSA Assistant Director of Creative Services, Dylan Trevino. “We knew this was going to be a big year for UTSA athletics, and our goal was to capitalize on all the momentum our teams had heading into the season. We’ve been very intentional about building up our team of students, and they’ve played a major role in creating our vision and our look this season. These accolades are a testament to all their hard work and dedication.”

The Roadrunners are one of eight finalists for Outstanding In-Venue Video, Collegiate Athletics Championship Division, for the UTSA Football 15th Season Intro Video that Trevino, in conjunction with Football Creative Coordinator Allison Maguire, created. The video served as a celebration of UTSA’s first 15 years on the gridiron, showcasing a slew of the program’s best moments, including a pair of CUSA Conference Championships and multiple bowl victories. Along with Trevino and Maguire, Media Specialist Jacob Ramirez and current UTSA student Sebastian Castro played integral parts in the video’s creation.

In the same category, UTSA was named a finalist for its kickoff video, that aired prior to the opening kickoff at every home football game. Former UTSA staffer Jake Rosas and current student Diego Melendez created the video to celebrate the city and culture of San Antonio, with the video featuring a mariachi, and famous local landmarks including the Alamo, the River Walk and the Tower of the Americas.

UTSA was also recognized in the category Outstanding In-Venue Video, Collegiate Student Championship Division for the 2025-26 UTSA Men’s Basketball Intro Video. Castro headed up the student team that worked on the men’s basketball intro, which was shot at local San Antonio immersive art experience, Hopscotch. Along with Castro, fellow students Jacob Nieto, Allison Mata, McKinley Thompson and Marylin Terrazas played a part in the video.

Winners for each award will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at the eighth-annual SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA ceremony, which will be hosted by ESPN’s Ryan McGee at the SVG College Summit in the Hilton Atlanta at 4 p.m. CT on May 27.
