SAN ANTONIO – The 2026 edition of The Rowdy’s, UTSA Athletics’ annual end-of-year student-athlete awards show, will feature a new twist on a favorite tradition.
This year’s event, scheduled for May 6 at Pedrotti’s Ranch, will feature a number of interactive fan elements and will be hosted by Texas comedian Steve Trevino. Fans may purchase tables and tickets to attend the event, while also Adopting a Team at The Rowdy’s. Proceeds will go to directly support UTSA student-athletes.
Part of this year’s fan elements include the opportunity for fans to decide the recipients of two awards at The Rowdy’s. Fans may vote now through 6 p.m. Saturday on the UTSA Athletics X account for the Moment of the Year and the Upset of the Year.

Moment of the Year
- Jamir Simpson's Poster Dunk at home vs East Carolina, Men’s Basketball
- Women’s Basketball winning the 2026 American Conference Tournament Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament
- Soccer winning the American Conference Tournament Championship and advancing to NCAA Tournament
- Men’s Golf winning Military City Collegiate
Upset of the Year
- Soccer advancing past No. 3 Memphis in the American Conference Tournament Semifinals, rallying from two goals down with five minutes remaining in regulation to upset the undefeated Tigers
- Football beating Tulane on a Thursday night ESPN broadcast, a win over a team that eventually won the conference championship, qualified for the CFP and finished the season ranked in the top-25.
- Women’s Basketball win over RV/RV Rice on the road to close the regular-season, snapping a 22-game winning streak that was the second-longest in the country and delivering Rice their only loss of conference play
- Baseball defeats No. 9 Coastal Carolina at BRUCE BOLT Collegiate Classic.
