With the series win, the Navy & Orange secured their 16th straight in American Conference play and extended their streak that dates back to 2024.

On Monday, senior Drew Detlefsen was named American Conference Player of the Week. The left fielder picked up his second such honor of 2026 after a week with eight hits and seven runs scored on a .381 batting average. He became the first league member to win the award twice this spring.
‘RUNNERS IN THE LONE STAR STATE
UTSA wrapped up its only two-week stretch of back-to-back home conference series last weekend. Tuesday’s bout will be UTSA’s 17th straight game in Texas before heading to New Orleans on Friday for a three-game set at Tulane.

With a 10-5 record in American play, UTSA recently climbed into a tie alongside UAB for first place. East Carolina still lurks just one game back at 9-6 with Wichita State sitting at 8-7. The Blazers and ‘Runners will meet in the final week of the regular season at Roadrunner Field.

Monday marked the second straight week with Connor Kelley on the American Conference Player of the Week Honorable Mention list. The junior has now tossed 20.2 straight innings without an earned run. Last time out, he extended his scoreless streak to eight straight appearances in the win on Friday over Charlotte with 4.1 shutout frames out of the bullpen.

Texas A&M is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Michael Earley, who holds a 61-33 record in his time with the program. The Aggies have won six in a row, including two straight SEC series sweeps, vaulting their way to the seventh spot in D1Baseball’s top 25 poll. Over the weekend, Texas A&M crushed LSU on the road by a cumulative 22-8 score. This year, the Aggies’ offense ranks among the nation’s top 10 in walks, home runs, on-base percentage, runs, scoring and slugging percentage.
