SAN ANTONIO – For the first time in the 2026 outdoor track & field season, the UTSA squads will compete in multiple locations, as the 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin and Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos appear on this week’s slate.
A group of 22 Roadrunners (14 men, 8 women) will travel to Austin for the long-standing elite competition at the Texas Relays, competing Thursday-Saturday, April 2-4, at Mike A. Myers Stadium. In addition, five performers will be heading to San Marcos for primarily distance competition at the Bobcat Invitational.
Competing in three days of the four-day national event in Austin, UTSA’s Texas Relays action will begin on Thursday, April 2, opening with the women’s hammer throw at 11 a.m., followed at 5 p.m. by the 400-meter hurdles preliminary, then the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 8:40 p.m. On Friday, April 3, the 110-meter hurdles preliminary is 10:30 a.m. ahead of the 100-meter hurdles prelim at 11:05 a.m., 4x400-meter relay at noon and long jump is 12:30 p.m. Wrapping things up on Saturday, April 4, the discus is at 10 a.m., triple jump at 3 p.m. and shot put is at 4 p.m.
In San Marcos at Bobcat Track & Field Stadium, the Roadrunners will open on Thursday with the 400-meter at 2:15 p.m., ahead of the 800-meter at 6 p.m. On Friday, UTSA is in the 1,500-meter at 8 p.m. Saturday’s 400m races are at 11:15 a.m.
