UTSA Sports Properties Team Sweeps Awards As Playfly HighFlyers

by Sean Cartell

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA Sports Properties team has swept the awards categories within its group as part of the annual recognition of Playfly Sports HighFlyers. Annually, 20 Playfly Sports employees are selected as HighFlyers. The selection of three staff members from a single property marks the first-ever clean sweep of all eligible employees by a Playfly Sports property.

The honorees are General Manager Robert Stockhausen, Director of Corporate Sponsorships Blake Parker and Senior Partner Services Specialist Humberto DeLeon. They were recognized as the best within Group B, which includes many of the most recognizable brands in NCAA Division I.

The 2025-26 year has been a historic one for the UTSA Sports Properties team. This year’s accomplishments include an all-time record 29 new sponsors and an all-time record for total revenue. That revenue figure is a 22.5 percent year-over-year increase from 2024-25 and a 90 percent increase in annual revenue since 2023 when Playfly Sports began as UTSA’s multimedia rights holder.

The UTSA Sports Properties Team, led by Stockhausen who is an at-large honoree this year and a HighFlyer for the second consecutive year, achieved 99 percent retention of its FY25 sponsor revenue. Among this year’s notables:

  • For the first time, UTSA Athletics had a football field sponsor (Ancira) and a football field-goal net sponsor (Kahlig Auto Group).
  • The Roadrunners welcomed the first-ever Mexican-based sponsor of an American college sports program in JUMEX.
  • UTSA became the first college sports program to be sponsored by the U.S. Space Force.
  • La Panaderia became the first-ever sponsor of the UTSA Cheer program.
  • ZOA Energy Drink became the first-ever sponsor of the Spirit of San Antonio Band.
  • New sponsors include: JUMEX, Las Palapas, OCI Energy, ShurMed EMS, County Line BBQ, La Panaderia and the U.S. Space Force.

Director of Corporate Sponsorships Blake Parker was named the Group B Sales Representative of the Year. Parker, who joined UTSA Sports Properties in March 2024 and was elevated to the director role in September 2025, was responsible for managing 13 new deals for the Roadrunners. He more than doubled his individual sales goal for the second consecutive year. Parker sold the first-ever UTSA Football bench shades and baseball dugout tops. He was responsible for the innovative sponsorship with La Panaderia, which became the first-ever sponsor of UTSA Cheer and the first-ever patch sponsor of the UTSA Football practice jerseys.

Senior Partnership Services Specialist Humberto DeLeon was named the Group B Service Representative of the Year. DeLeon, who joined UTSA Sports Properties in March 2024 and was promoted in September 2025, helped drive 99 percent retention of FY25 billing and lead a 22.5 percent increase in billing with no lost contracts. He has helped lead 98 percent of collections towards UTSA’s FY26 revenue to date. DeLeon is responsible for collaborating with the UTSA Athletics Fan Engagement team on all in-game activations, including coordination of student intern staffing, to help create one of the best in-game football environments in the Group of 5. He is the lone service representative for all of UTSA’s 84 accounts and, in the interim, managed the sales accounts of a previous representative during the summer of 2025.
