SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Women’s Tennis rolls on with its seven-match homestand on Monday, hosting Southeast Missouri. THE MATCH

Monday, March 9 (11 a.m.) – SEMO (6-10) at UTSA (6-6)

LAST TIME OUT

Back on March 5, UTSA hosted Wichita State (11-3) in a matchup of American Conference foes. The Roadrunners (6-6) suffered their first defeat of 2026 at the UTSA Tennis Center, snapping a perfect start through half a dozen such contests. On court six, Giuliana Giardina excelled with a 6-2, 6-2 victory, earning her side’s lone point of the afternoon. The 36th-ranked Shockers boosted their winning streak to nine consecutive matches.

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS

SEMO is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Steve Brooks. This spring, the squad is out to a 6-10 start, most recently falling on Sunday at Texas State by a 4-0 margin. A season ago, the Redhawks advanced to the OVC Championship but came up short against third-seeded Bryant 4-2 in the title match.

UP NEXT

UTSA currently sits nearly three weeks away from its next scheduled road trip, coming on March 27 at North Texas. Before then, the Roadrunners will still have three more home matches, even following their bout with the Redhawks. Up next, the squad will host Southern Miss (6-3) on March 17. Every home contest will be streamed on sporfie.com/utsa and available to follow via utsa.statbroadcast.com.
