UTSA seeded sixth for 2026 American Women’s Basketball Championship

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference officially released the field for the 2026 American Women’s Basketball Championship, which will begin Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama, inside Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

UTSA (14-15, 9-9 American) is seeded sixth and will receive a bye to the tournament’s Second Round. The Roadrunners will take on the winner between No. 7 Seed Temple (14-16, 8-10 American) and the No. 10 Seed Tulane (11-19, 6-12 American) on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the matchup set to be broadcast on ESPN+.
